Momo`s Travel Log

"Bonitos Companeros Daimler" (Momo) and his owners Lilo and Ado Fink
prove that a Cavalier is an uncomplicated companion in all walks of life.
We would like to thank the Fink family for sending us this travel log.

My name is Momo, I am an 18 months old Blenheim dog and this August, I was allowed to come along to Vancouver/Canada.

Initially, it was planned that I would go to the neighbor’s because everyone thought it would be too much stress for me to drag me along for the sake of 3 weeks. Thank God for me, it didn’t work out at the neighbor’s and so they took me along. Since I am a slight Cavalier dog, they allowed me to fly in the cabin. Nobody seemed really interested in my actual weight and so we set out from Stuttgart toward Munich airport, from where we set off on our big journey.

... Momo was always there.

At the airport, I was still allowed to run free but when we went to check-in, my daddy put me inside a sporting bag that he then put round his shoulder as hand luggage. I was very quite and not the least bit nervous in there.

In the plane, I initially remained inside the bag, but then mummy opened it and allowed me out. She put my favorite blanket on the front seat so I had it more comfortable. During take-off, she had to stroke my head a little as I have to admit a got just a wee bit nervous.

The flight to Frankfurt lasted only a little over an hour and there, I could take a walk before the journey continued. Of course, I had to lift my leg at the first pillar I could find but mummy had brought things for cleaning up after me.

The second take-off was no problem for me anymore, now I knew what was coming. Mummy and daddy just had to work out where to put their legs when I got comfortable under the sear. It was alright for me!

I was really tired and went to sleep. Only once I permitted myself to stick my head out into the hallway to look around, and immediately a nasty air hostess came and insisted that I return under the seat. No problem, then I just went back to sleep for the rest of the flight.

I was so happy when we arrived and I felt grass under my paws again, that I just kept running around and couldn’t get enough of it. I really enjoyed my three weeks there and everyone was glad that they had taken me along. The flight back was no problem, I just went to sleep for another 10 hours.

So, my dear fellow Cavaliers, should you ever have to fly again, hold up our good name, behave like a true Cavalier, as I am sure
you were all brought up well as I was.

Kind regards from your flying
